Project Management.

Anacaona managed the Communications Working Group for the Children Thrive Action Network, a project of CLASP and partners. We wrote press releases and worked to insert CTAN’s perspective into stories about litigation and policy affecting children of immigrants. Anacaona executed an online event, “I ❤️ My Immigrant Family,” featuring children of immigrants active in sports, politics, art, media, business, and other areas, as well as people whose families are directly impacted by our failed immigration policy.

We also managed a project for the Mauritanian Network for Human Rights in US, advocating for universal representation in immigration court. We supported MNHRUS leadership in public events; organized a webinar to educate the public about the need for universal representation; and lifted up testimonials from Black Mauritanian immigrants about the importance of having a lawyer in immigration court.
